A Suwannee County native, Randy is a seventh generation Floridian. Randy lives in the Branford community of south Suwannee County with his wife of 29 years, Glenda.  He has three grown children and spoils three grandchildren.
 
  Randy served eight years as a Suwannee County Commissioner and was elevated by the Commissioners of Florida to President of the Florida Association of Counties.

 Commissioner Hatch is the immediate past Chairman of the North Central Florida Regional Planning Council and served on the North Florida Pandemic Task Force.

 As a founding member of the Florida Education First Alliance, Commissioner Hatch was instrumental in bringing the education and business communities together to enhance public school performance.

 Commissioner Hatch, a charter member of the Statewide Water Policy Board was authorized to appoint ten members to the Century Commissions Water Policy Congress.

A lifelong agri-businessman, Commissioner Hatch is an internationally recognized authority on alternative energy strategies, mining, forestry, marine resources, ag education, research and homeland security.
